Youth Introductory Hockey Program

We offer classes for the beginner hockey enthusiast, ages 5 - 15. Players are welcome to join anytime during the season.

Hockey 1
We start off teaching basic skating skills, hockey starts and stops, introduction to passing and stick handling skills. Equipment requirements include a stick, and a hockey helmet with face mask. We strongly recommend elbow pads, shin guards and gloves.

Hockey 2
Continuing education includes power skating, advanced stick handling, passing and shooting. Equipment requirements include a stick, a hockey helmet with face mask, elbow pads, shin guards and gloves. Hockey pants are recommended.

Program Benefits
FREE admission for players to public skating & 3 free guest passes. (skate rental not included) Free skate rental on lesson day.

Hockey 1 Tuesday 4:00 - 4:30 PM

What you Learn?
Geared toward entry level boys and girls wanting to learn the fundamentals of skating and playing hockey. Teaching basic skating skills including hockey starts and stops. Introduction to passing, stick handling and shooting skills.
Program Benefits Free admission for players to Public Skating & 3 guest passes. (rental not incl.) Free skate rental on lesson day. Lots of fun.
Equipment Must have a protective hockey helmet with face mask. A stick will be needed for the class also. Elbow and shin pads are strongly recommended, but not required.

Each class session is 1/2 hour in length.


Hockey 2 Tuesday 4:00 - 4:30 PM

Geared toward the graduates from Hockey 2 or other boys and girls having some basic knowledge of skating and hockey skills. Teaching basic hockey skills including: power skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, positioning and team play.
Program Benefits Free admission for players to Public Skating & 3 guest passes. (rental not incl.) Free skate rental on lesson day. Lots of fun.
Equipment Must have : hockey helmet with face mask, elbow pads, shin guards, gloves & stick. The use of hockey pants and a supporter is strongly recommended.

Each class session is 1/2 hour in length.

Tuesday’s, August 17 through October 12
Cost (9 weeks): $129.99

Players welcomed after start of season.

Next class starts October 19 and ends December 14; 9 weeks.
